Joseph T. Wilson, age 95 of Lafayette Hill, Pa died Friday March 20, 2015 in the Chestnut Hill Hospital. Mr. Wilson was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the son of the late Henry B. and the late Lillian (Slater) Wilson. He was the husband of the late Judy ( Hess) Wilson who passed away in 2010 and the late Rita ( Caruso) Wilson. He served in the Navy from 1944-1946 and was a retired Police Officer/Detective, employed by the Philadelphia Police Department. Joe was a former resident of Roxborough before moving to Spring City, Pa and later moving to be with his daughter inSanatoga, Pa. His memberships included The Roxborough Palestine Masonic Lodge and The 801 Lodge at the Masonic Village where he was a resident. He also was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police. Joe loved to travel with his wife Judy in their RV and enjoyed reading. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and his many friends and fellow police officers. Beloved Father to his daughter, Rita T. Hein ( predeceased) and her husband Frank Hein, daughter Joan D. Evans and her husband Frank Evans, Pop-Pop to Jeanne and her husband Ray, Dawn, Joni, Laura and her husband John, Frank and his wife Rita, and to his great grandchildren Sean, Brittany, Brianna, Danielle, Rachel and Kelly. Friends may call Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 10-11 am at the Masonic Village Auditorium located at 801 Ridge PikeLafayette Hill, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. The burial will be at the Westminster Cemetery located inBala Cynwyd, Pa. Donations may be made to the Masonic Village or the Philadelphia police and Firemen's Fund.
