Carl D. Homan Sr., age 92 of Lafayette Hill PA, died Saturday (12/14) in the Abington Hospital. He was a retired Mechanical Engineer For Elliott Lewis Corp. Phila.Pa. Mr. Homan Sr. was born in Reading, PA, the son of the late Daniel W. and the late Julia Zajdowicz Homan. Husband of the late June E.( Beyer) Homan Mr.Homan was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School in Phila. where he met and married his High School sweet heart June Beyer. He went onto to attend Drexil Univ. Mr.Homan was a World War Two Navy Veteran . He was a member of The Robert A. Lamberton Masonic Lodge # 487 and was a 33 degree Mason. He was a member of the Lu Lu Temple Shrine, The Scottish Rite and the York Consistry and the Grand Lodge of Pa. Member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Church Council. Mr. Homan was also a member of the Reilly Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a avid history buff and would often do public speaking and dress in character at local organizations and retirement homes and schools along with many parades especially at the Fourth of July. He enjoyed reading and spending many summers with his family at the Jersey Shore. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and many friends. He is survived by two daughters: Barbara J. Marino (Lou) of Hatfield, PA, Carol H. Graney (Tom) of Lafayette Hill, PA three sons: Carl "Dan" Homan Jr. of Phila., PA, Wayne L. Homan (late Mary) of Conshohocken, PA., Thomas J. Homan (Charlotte) of Ambler, PA one sister: Theresa Wallace of Collegeville, PA 13 Grandchildren,8 Great Grand,1 Great Great Grandson, Friends may call Thursday 12/11/2014 from 10-11am at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 3025 Church Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA.. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Burial will be in the George Washington Memorial Park, . Memorial donations may be made to the Tri Square Camp Assn. c/o Robert Burns, 1953 Guernsey Ave.Abington,Pa. 19001 .The Tri Square Camp is a 501c3 organization with a mission to send boys to summer camp for families that can't afford the costs.
