Joan L. Vetterlein, 63 years, of Norristown, passed away on Monday September 2, 2019

She was born on Tuesday January 17, 1956 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Alfred and the late Cecilia (née Frank) Porrino.

Joan passed away peacefully Sunday evening surrounded by family by her side.  Joan was a graduate of the Class of 1974 from Archbishop Kennedy High School

and a  recipient of Genardi Athlete Award.  Joan continued to be active in sports and

and played for the Norristown Women’s Softball League for many years.  

Joan is survived by her husband, Mark Vetterlein, son, Mark A. Vetterlein Jr., brothers and sisters, Geraldine Ferraro, Alfred J. Porrino Jr., Ronald A. Porrino, Lynn M. Porrino, Gregory C. Porrino, Eileen P. Sanguedolce, Julia G. Eney, Christine "Tina" T. Ward, the late James J. Porrino, two Grandchildren, Vincent and Luca and many nieces and nephews

Joan's Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Sep 6 at 11:00 AM at Saint Philip Neri Church 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill

A Visitation will be held on Friday, Sep 6 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church before the Mass

Joan’s Interment will be held privately
