Thomas F. Parker


Thomas F. and Delores G. suddenly on November 16th. Devoted parents of Kathryn McGill (Kenneth), Barbara McDonald (Bruce), and Marilyn Parker. Loving grandparents of Elizabeth Nowik (William), Erin DeSandro (David), Joseph Frett (Amanda), Kathleen Giordano (Vincent), Joseph Parker, and Brian McGill. They were also blessed with five great-grandchildren. Thomas and Delores were the adored aunt and uncle of Karen Parker Davis (George) of South Carolina. They are both are predeceased by brothers, Charles Parker and Sherwood Gray. The Parkers had lived their lives in Pittsburgh, Pa until moving to West Chester, PA in 2014.

Thomas, son of the late Charles and Ada Parker, was a proud WWII veteran. He served in the Army Air Corp and flew 24 combat missions as a nose gunner on the B-24. After the war, he attended both the Robert Morris School of Business (Robert Morris University) and the University of Pittsburgh. He then worked as the treasurer for the S.H. Bell Company for 39 years. Delores, daughter of the late Sherwood and Gladys Gray, volunteered for numerous organizations throughout her life, most notably at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. Both Delores and Thomas were longtime and dedicated members of South Avenue United Methodist Church where they each served on various committees. They will be remembered as kind and caring people who above all cherished time with their family. Services will be held in Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Doctors Without Borders or the Alzheimer's Association.
